I’m down at Turn 10, one of the hardest corners on the track (because it’s downhill, often has a crosswind for the cars and Turn 9 feeds into it directly).

Max Verstappen has been especially strong in the low speed left of Turn 10 through testing, appearing comfortable getting his Red Bull all the way down to first gear to help harvest energy for its engine without destabilizing the car.

Alex Albon had massive lock up right in front of me earlier. This corner caught out a lot of drivers last week. It’s a tricky, long braking zone with the Turn 9 kink just before the drivers turn in.

The more I watch the Aston Martin trackside, the more concerned I get for its start to the year. It doesn’t seem comfortable getting on the power early, and Fernando Alonso has been short-shifting a bit coming out of Turn 10. I know Aston is on the back foot, and it could be a tough start to 2026.
