HAMPTON, Va. – The University of Richmond swimming and diving team finished day two of the Atlantic 10 Championships with 12 swimmers and one diver advancing to finals and four podium finishes. The Spiders’ 200 free relay solidified a spot in the A-10 record book and set a new school record.
 
The Spiders captured one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
 
Richmond’s 200 free relay had a record-breaking day, capturing gold and earning an NIC A cut with a time of 1:30.40. Swimming the relay were Presley Baber (22.92), Julia Krichev (22.54), Caitlyn Hughes (22.39) and Hannah Wieczorek (22.55). The relay squad broke the school record set last season and the 2024 Atlantic 10 record previously held by George Washington.
 
In the 200 IM, Lena Amare and Gabbie Primiano swam their way to the podium. Amare captured silver with a personal-best time of 1:59.50, and Primiano captured bronze with a personal-best time of 2:00.55. Molly Blanchard finished sixth with a time of 2:01.69.
 
In the B final of the 200 IM, Mia Gregory finished 16th with a personal-best time of 2:06.35.
 
In the 50 free, Baber captured bronze with a time of 22.89. Wieczorek finished fifth with a personal-best time of 22.96, and Krichev finished eighth with a time of 23.12.
 
In the B final of the 50 free, Hughes finished 10th with a personal-best time of 23.08.
 
In the 500 free, Kaitlyn Bauer finished sixth with a time of 4:56.24.
 
In the B final of the 500 free, Natalie Stuart finished ninth with a personal-best time of 4:54.84. Erin Budde finished 10th with a time of 4:56.00, and MaryAgnes Smith finished 16th with a time of 5:03.88.
 
In the B finals of the 3-meter dive, Sally Harrington finished 14th with 249.05 points.
