The Phoenix Suns will re-evaluate star guard Devin Booker’s right hip strain in one week, and forward Haywood Highsmith will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks as he continues his knee rehabilitation.
Highsmith is continuing to work back from his right knee surgery last offseason and is making good progress, the team said Saturday.
Booker started Thursday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs but couldn’t finish the first half due to right hip soreness.
Grayson Allen (right ankle sprain) is available for Saturday’s matchup with the Orlando Magic after he was previously considered questionable.
Saturday will be Booker’s 13th game missed this season and ninth in the last 12 games.
In his 44 games this season, Booker is averaging 24.7 points, 6.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game.
Allen had been dealing with a knee issue before the All-Star break and sprained his ankle in shootaround after the break.
He has missed 21 games this season, including Phoenix’s last four matchups. Allen is averaging 17 points, four assists and three rebounds in 30.3 minutes played per game.
The Suns will get Dillon Brooks back after serving a suspension Thursday. Cole Anthony (not with team) is out.
