Exclusive: A new still from The Mandalorian & Grogu showcases Din Djarin unleashing his wrist flamethrower in a snowbound Imperial stronghold.
As part of ScreenRant’s 2026 Spring Movie Preview, which features exclusive looks at the season’s biggest upcoming releases, our brand-new image from The Mandalorian & Grogu showcases Din Djarin in the middle of what may just be the film’s coolest action sequence yet.
The still, also featured in the movie’s final trailer released nearly two weeks ago, shows our helmeted protagonist wielding his wrist-mounted Mandalorian flamethrower as he breaches a frozen Imperial base, with Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper positioned on either side of the doorway.
Remember Star Wars Celebration’s Epic Teaser?

The first footage from The Mandalorian & Grogu shown at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan last year previewed a longer action sequence – an awesome one – from a battle involving Snowtroopers and AT-AT walkers in a frozen setting, pointing to a large-scale set piece only teased in the trailers so far.
This new image further emphasizes how the fight extends inside an Imperial Remnant base as well. The shift from walker combat to corridor warfare indicates a larger, multi-stage set piece on some unknown snow planet. The snow theme, of course, carried through to Disney and Lusasfilm’s marketing play during the Super Bowl with a parody commercial featuring Tauntauns from Hoth. We’re all hoping the planet featured in The Mandalorian & Grogu is not a return to Hoth, but something new for the Star Wars franchise.
This Key Moment is in The Mandalorian & Grogu’s Final Trailer
The image appears briefly in the final trailer, which offers the clearest look yet at the film’s icy Imperial conflict and how effective Din Djarin’s Beskar armor and weapons arsenal really are. One notable detail about this sequence is who is not in the frame. Grogu is absent from the corridor assault shown in the trailer and from the AT-AT walker battle footage first revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2025.
Marketing for The Mandalorian & Grogu has largely emphasized the duo together, making his absence in what appears to be the film’s largest action set piece stand out. It raises questions about whether Grogu is elsewhere during this mission, separated from Din Djarin for part of the conflict, or positioned in a different role entirely. Is it a rescue?
Both the interior base fight and the walker battle footage focus squarely on Mando operating solo against Imperial Remnant forces. If these moments are part of the same extended confrontation, it suggests at least one major sequence in the film puts Din Djarin back into lone-gunslinger territory, even in a story that carries both of their names. Season 1 vibes.
