When officers arrived at the scene, they found a collision involving three vehicles, with one vehicle engulfed in flames. Three occupants inside the vehicle on fire were pinned inside. Officers were able to extinguish the fire and get an adult man and an adult woman out of the car. The third adult female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as 25-year-old Laila Makaylea Jones of Baldwin. The adult man in the second vehicle was checked by Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS paramedics on scene and did not require transport. The adult occupant of the third vehicle was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
