The World Baseball Classic is back, with some of the best players on the planet representing their country instead of their MLB team with national pride on the line.

The most recent WBC in 2023 lived up to the name, with Japan edging Team USA in an electric championship game in Miami to secure the trophy for the third time in five editions of the Classic.

Led once again by Shohei Ohtani, Japan has to be the favorite entering the 2026 tournament. After finishing either first or third in every WBC to date, the Japanese know what it takes to succeed in this format.

Team USA will be formidable, though, with Aaron Judge, Kyle Schwarber and Paul Skenes leading a talented group for manager Mark DeRosa and trying to add a trophy after winning in 2017. The only other nation to take the WBC crown was the Dominican Republic in 2013, and the D.R. is stacked again this year behind the likes of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto, Julio Rodriguez, Manny Machado and more.

Will one of the favorites emerge on top or will a team like Venezuela, Mexico or Korea break through? Here’s everything you need to know to watch all the games.
