MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — A precautionary boil advisory has been made Saturday for parts of Maryland Heights, Bridgeton and Earth City after a water main break.
Missouri American Water said around 13,000 customers are under the boil order due to low water pressure from a 3-foot water main break.
The company said impacted customers should bring water to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes before consuming it.
Customers were notified at around 2:45 p.m. and the repair is expected to take 16-18 hours to complete, though the advisory is expected to last for 48 hours or until Monday.
