Many parents are familiar with children trying to get out of going to bed. They hear that it’s their bedtime, and they will engage in shenanigans to prolong having to go to sleep a little bit.
But it’s not just human children that do this. Animal children do it, too. Just take the adorable little kangaroo joey, Roosta, for instance.
His human dad tells him that he has to go to bed, but Roosta doesn’t want to. So, he employs the most adorable tactic to try to delay his bedtime.
Wasn’t that just too precious? Roosta’s dad repeatedly told him that he was not allowed to stay up late that night and that he had to go to bed. But this precious little kangaroo, joey, didn’t want to go to bed. So, he proceeded to give his dad all kinds of precious, loving kisses to convince him that he should stay up late.
However, Roosta’s human dad seemed to hold fast and not give in to his precious kangaroo child’s loving kisses. He told this precious kangaroo joey, “It doesn’t matter how many times you kiss me. You’re not allowed to stay up.”

He then got up and carried precious little Roosta off to bed. Unsurprisingly, social media was totally in love with this precious little kangaroo joey and his loving kisses for dad. Instagram user alida.cafferky wrote, “Aww, so sweet! Kisses for dad!”
While Instagram user gailipoo shared, “OMG. I’d pay to get kisses from this darling creature.” And Instagram user theprogprincess remarked, “Jealous! I’d love to hug wee joeys like that. My cat doesn’t appreciate my hoodie with a pouch, LOL!”
More About Roosta
This other video goes into detail about how Roosta moves about. According to his human dad, Roosta has very powerful hind legs that can launch him several meters at a time. He also has a muscular tail that helps him keep his balance.
Most adorable of all are Roosta’s massive “Bugs Bunny” ears, as his dad affectionately calls them.
These massive ears allow Roosta to hear other animals, even when they are kilometers away from him. This is very advantageous for kangaroos because they are prey animals who need to hear everything around them at all times.
As adorable as Roosta’s physical attributes are, the first video makes it clear that the cutest thing about him is the precious kisses he offers his dad when he doesn’t want to go to bed yet, LOL.
