Weirton waterline break leaves low pressure; bottled water available until 7 p.m.

A major waterline break on North 12th Street in Weirton has left some customers with low or no water pressure, prompting bottled water distribution for residents without water service.

The Weirton Area Water Board said bottled water will be available until 7 p.m. at the Gilson Avenue fire station. Residents must provide proof of address to obtain the water.

The distribution is for residents without water service in the following areas: North 12th Street, Willow Street, Nancy Street, Donna Street, Marcia Street, Kingsview Drive, Lakeview Drive, Glenview Drive, Greentree Lane, Teresa Drive, Rhing Court, Northview Court, Kings Creek Road, and Cove Valley Estates.
