SALEM TWP., MI — Local leaders and many residents have agreed that building a new wastewater facility on the Washtenaw-Wayne County line in Salem Township is not the best option.
But a preferred alternative, piping sewage through neighboring communities in Wayne County and to an existing Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority treatment plant, appeared to be in jeopardy — until recently.
