Thanks to Titus Welliver, Bosch has become one of the biggest cop dramas on TV in the last 10 years. The first Bosch show debuted in 2014 as a Prime Video original, and it built on this with six more successful seasons before going off the air just five years ago. In 2022, Welliver returned to his role as Bosch in the hit Legacy series, which followed the legendary detective now forced to work with his former enemy. The show developed a massive audience before going off the air after three seasons due to a shock cancellation. Welliver has since played Harry Bosch once more in the spin-off series, Ballard, starring Maggie Q, and there’s even a new Bosch prequel in development. Welliver will not star as a young Harry Bosch in the show — that role has gone to Cameron Monaghan.
The success of Bosch didn’t catch everyone by surprise, though. The series is inspired by the popular novels by Michael Connelly, who also wrote another series of similar novels that’s been adapted into another legal thriller over on Netflix. The streaming goliath has leveraged The Lincoln Lawyer as its alternative to Bosch, and while the plots aren’t exactly the same, Bosch fans are all-but-guaranteed to enjoy The Lincoln Lawyer thanks to Connelly’s writing. Bosch is more of a traditional cop drama, and The Lincoln Lawyer is a legal thriller/courtroom drama. All episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 began streaming on Netflix over a month ago, but the series looks poised to exit the global top 10 by the end of next week. This is alarming news, especially considering Netflix picked up The Lincoln Lawyer for a fifth season before the Season 4 premiere.

When Does the Next Season of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Come Out?
Although Netflix has already renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 5, it’s still unclear when the next batch of episodes will be released. The streamer has released new episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer every year since the show first premiered back in 2022, so it likely won’t be long before it’s back with a new season. The Lincoln Lawyer stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Angus Sampson as Cisco Wojcihowski, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Lets, Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, Krista Warner as Hayley Halley, and Cobie Smulders as Mickey Haller’s sister.
