Following the announcement of Hartley Adkins’ upcoming retirement, iHeartMedia is rolling out a new leadership structure for its Markets Group. Effective Sept. 1, Ann Marie Licata will take the helm as President of Markets Group and Sales Operations. She currently serves as EVP of Sales Operations and Client Success.

According to the company, Licata has had a long history of roles with a client-centric and results driven focus, and has led several teams within the iHeart organization, including Sales Marketing, Client Success and Sales Operations, during her more than 12 years with the company.  Prior to iHeart, Licata worked with some of the largest entertainment and venue partnerships at Madison Square Garden.

In a joint memo, Chairman/CEO Bob Pittman and President/COO/CFO Rich Bressler outlined the new leadership slate, which also includes Bernie Weiss, who has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Markets Group. Weiss currently serves as Division President of the Northeast and Chicago Division. Additionally, Paul Corvino, Division President of the Southern California+ Division, will assume a new role focused on major business development efforts across the company.

The moves come as iHeart continues to build on the growth and momentum of the Markets Group under Adkins, who spent 32 years with the company. Pittman and Bressler cited iHeart’s unmatched audience reach, multiplatform footprint, and advanced data capabilities as key assets the new leadership team will be well-positioned to leverage.

“Ann Marie has proven to be an exceptional leader at iHeart in every role she’s held,” they wrote. “We look forward to her applying that leadership skill, with the rigor of data and analytics, to make a major and positive impact.”

Weiss, who rose through the ranks in New York and helped scale success in markets including Washington, Chicago, and Philadelphia, was described as the “perfect partner” for Licata, bringing strong business and operational acumen to the COO post.

Corvino, known for his track record of growth in markets including Detroit, Texas, and Los Angeles, will now collaborate with Licata, Weiss, and Julie Donohue, President of Multi-Market Partnerships, to drive new business opportunities companywide.
