Steven Kwan hit two two-run home runs, and the Guardians beat the Royals, 6-2, in the Cactus League on March 9.
The homers were Kwan’s first of the spring and his first four RBI in Arizona.
Brayan Rocchio followed Kwan’s second home run with a solo shot.
Rhys Hoskins hit an RBI double. He has two doubles and five RBI since joining the team.
Parker Messick (2-0) pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings. He struck out four and walked one.
The Guardians welcome the Giants on March 10. Tanner Bibee is the expected starter.

Before the game, Angel Genoa and Kahlil Watson were optioned to Triple-A Columbus. Jack Leftwich, Ralphy Velazquez and Wuilfredo Antúnez were reassigned to the minor-league camp.
