But, they’ll continue to be without their star center for the contest, which makes matters more difficult.

Joel Embiid ruled out vs. Grizzlies due to right oblique strain

Joel Embiid has been ruled out against the Grizzlies due to a right oblique strain. It will be the sixth straight game missed by Embiid, who has appeared in just 33 games on the season for Philadelphia.

In those games, Embiid has averaged 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per performance.

Philadelphia will also be without star guard Tyrese Maxey against Memphis, as Maxey is sidelined due to a finger sprain. Paul George also remains ineligible to play due to suspension.

Without their three stars, pulling out a victory over Memphis could prove difficult for the Sixers, who enter the game eighth in the standings in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are 11th in the West.

It will be the second and final meeting of the season between Philadelphia and Memphis. The Sixers pulled out an overtime victory over the Grizzlies in the first meeting in December.
