VERY SHORTLY. RIGHT, MICHAELA. THANK YOU. WE WANT TO GET BACK TO THIS BREAKING NEWS. A CRASH BETWEEN A SEMI AND A CAR CAUSED A MAJOR BACKUP THIS MORNING IN EDMOND KOCO, EAST HOPKINS IS THERE NOW. THIS IS I-35 NEAR KOVAL WITH A LOOK AT WHAT CONDITIONS LOOK LIKE RIGHT NOW. SHANICE, AT LAST CHECK. ONE LANE IS OPEN. IS THAT STILL ACCURATE? YES, THAT IS STILL ACCURATE. THEY STILL HAVE THIS AREA KIND OF BLOCKED OFF WHERE IT IS. AND RIGHT BEHIND ME, THAT’S WHERE THAT CRASH HAPPENED THAT IS CAUSING THIS BACKUP. SO THERE’S STILL ONE LANE OPEN. YOU MIGHT SEE SOME ORANGE CONES BECAUSE THEY HAVE IT BLOCKED OFF. RIGHT NOW YOU’RE LOOKING AT EDMOND FIRE. IT LOOKS LIKE TWO STATE TROOPER CARS. AND THEN OF COURSE THAT SEMI IN THAT CAR I WAS ABLE TO SPEAK WITH OHP. AND HERE’S WHAT THEY TOLD ME EARLIER TODAY. SOUTHBOUND I-35 NEAR KOVAL ROAD WAS CLOSED AFTER A CRASH INVOLVED A SEMI TRUCK AND ANOTHER CAR. WE KNOW THAT THAT SEMI TRUCK WAS HOLDING COOKING OIL AND BOTH THE CAR IN THAT SEMI CAUGHT FIRE. THAT FIRE HAS NOW BEEN PUT OUT AND SKY 5 WAS ABLE TO GET VIDEO OF THAT. AND AT THIS POINT OHP SAYS NO INJURIES CAME FROM THIS. RIGHT NOW THE LANE IS OPEN, BUT IT’S STILL GOING TO HAVE SOME BACKUP. THAT GOES FOR MILES AND MILES. SO IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS AREA AND GET OFF ON WATERLOO, I WOULD HIGHLY, HIGHLY SUGGEST IT. BUT THAT’S WHAT WE KNOW. FOR NOW, I’M GOING TO TRY TO WORK WITH OHP TO GET A LITTLE BIT MORE DETAILS FOR YOU GUYS
