Bakso, the first Sumatran tiger cub born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in seven years in September 2024, is all grown up. Now over 18 months old, this tiger is strutting his stuff at Maharajah Jungle Trek without his mom in tow.
Guests can now see Bakso, who is named after an Indonesian meatball, lounging around the Maharajah Jungle Trek as a grown-up tiger. Generally, at 18 months old, male Sumatran tigers usually depart the family to find their own territory.
Guests who want to check in on Bakso can do so along the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom. In addition to Asian tigers, guests can also see plenty of other animals, including over 50 species of birds, gibbons, komodo dragons, water buffalo, and more.
The photo above is from when Bakso first came out at Maharajah Jungle Trek with his mom in January 2025.
