A year after acquiring Full Service Oldies 1490 WBCB/107.3 W297CL Levittown PA, the since reminted Fideri News Network has flipped the station to a lineup of their network’s podcasts and high school sports coverage with new local live broadcasts to come.
CEO Terry Tracy told Levittown Now, “We are evolving WBCB into a modern, multimedia platform capable of serving our audience however they choose to tune in.”
The station is running podcasts from its regional news and sports publications, which serves the Greater Philadelphia area and adjacent portions of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
Fideri Sports Vice President Anthony Sanfilippo has added duties as General Manager of WBCB. He said, “While WBCB remains a fabric of the community, we are transitioning to a digital-first entity. This shift allows us to expand our reach regionally into every community covered by the Fideri News Network. As part of this growth, several team members have been offered new roles within the company to better position the station for the future.”
With the changes morning host Jim Foxwell retired after 34 years with the station, while 12-1pm “Speak Your Piece” host Pat Wandling has moved to a new role as senior columnist for the company’s BucksIndependence.com.
