Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following 18 scheduled lane closures and road work projects on Big Island state roadways on weekdays throughout the week of March 14-20.

HIGHWAY 11
HILO TO VOLCANO
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0 and 36 in the vicinity of Banyan Drive, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 16-20 for removal of existing striping and installation of centerline rumble strip, striping and pavement markers.
VOLCANO
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 37 and 39.5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16-20 for cutting grass.
KĪPĀHOEHOE
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 93 and 95 in the vicinity of ʻŌhiʻa Malu Road and Kukui O Pae Place, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16-20 for tree trimming and shoulder work.
CAPTAIN COOK TO HŌLUALOA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 109 to 118.8 in the vicinity of Koa Road and Lako Street, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 16-20 for removal of existing striping, new striping and permanent markers.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction near mile post 110.6, in the vicinity of Meleana Place and Ōnouli Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17-19 for Hawai‘i County Department of Water Supply to install a new meter and waterline.
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction near mile posts 111, in the vicinity of Konawaena School Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16-18 for Hawai‘i County Department of Water Supply to install a new meter and waterline.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 17.9 and 18.2 in the vicinity of Government Main Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16-20 for work on Nanue Bridge.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 21 and 22 in the vicinity of Kaihuiki Road and Uweki Road, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16-20 for cutting trees and shoulder work.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 29.8 and 32 in the vicinity of Kaʻawaliʻi Road and Government Main Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16-20 for work on Kāholo Stream Bridge.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 3 and 11 in the vicinity of Kahakai Boulevard, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16-20 for cutting grass.
