A JetBlue flight from Boston, Massachusetts to Florida was searched by federal agents after a reported bomb threat onboard Saturday afternoon.The reported threat occurred on JetBlue flight 1231 to Vero Beach.According to NewsCenter 5’s Sharman Sacchetti, who was on board the plane, the pilot alerted passengers to a “security issue” shortly after landing and said they weren’t allowed near the gate after landing in Florida.A bomb dog search was conducted of the airplane cabin while passengers were still on board, according to the Vero Beach Police Department.Additionally, the passenger’s luggage was removed from the plane and searched separately.Passengers were eventually escorted off the plane and taxied to the terminal.The plane landed on time just after noon but passengers did not deplane until after 2:30 p.m.In a statement, a JetBlue spokesperson said the plane taxied to a remote area after landing and law enforcement cleared the aircraft.”The safety of our customers and crewmembers is JetBlue’s first priority,” the spokesperson said.The bomb search was conducted by K9 Odie of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s office, whose handler is K9 Deputy Steve Wise.
