Lynden’s annual Northwest Washington Fair has announced another concert for its upcoming Grandstand Entertainment series, following the concert announcements of two Grammy-winning artists.
“Hip-hop legends Ja Rule and Fat Joe will make their Lynden debut this summer at the Northwest Washington Fair,” according to a NW WA Fair news release issued Monday.

The concert is set to start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 as part of the fair’s Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series.
“Ja Rule first entered the scene in 1999 with his debut album Venni Vetti Cecci, which became a platinum-selling album, and its lead single ‘Holla Holla’. From there, his success grew rapidly. From 1999 to 2005, Ja Rule had multiple hits that made the top 20 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, including “Between Me and You” (featuring Christina Milian), “I’m Real (Murder Remix)” and “Ain’t It Funny” (both with Jennifer Lopez) — which both topped the Hot 100 — the number 1 hit “Always on Time” (featuring Ashanti), and “Mesmerize” (featuring Ashanti),” the news release states.
“Fat Joe is a Grammy-nominated recording artist that hails from the Bronx, New York. With an acclaimed career that has spanned four different decades, Fat Joe has cemented his legacy as a hip-hop heavyweight, having amassed several multiplatinum and gold studio albums, mixtapes, singles, and collaborations, including “Lean Back,” “What’s Luv,” “Make It Rain,” and “All The Way Up,” among countless others. In addition to his success as a recording artist, he has recently become an author, actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and media personality, adding to his impressive list of accomplishments,” the news release states.
