Fayetteville police are evacuating part of the city near a water main break.Roads were closed on Lewis Avenue between Holly Street and Wedington Drive, Gracie Zieger, city spokesperson, said. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —

Fayetteville police are evacuating part of the city near a water main break.

Roads were closed on Lewis Avenue between Holly Street and Wedington Drive, Gracie Zieger, city spokesperson, said. That’s just south of Asbell Park.

Ziegler did not have an estimate as to when the problem would be fixed, but said the rain was not helping.

There was no evidence of contamination as of Friday afternoon.
