The Country Music Hall of Fame has officially revealed its 2026 inductees: Tim McGraw, songwriter Paul Overstreet and bluegrass pioneers the Stanley Brothers will make up this year’s class.
Each year, the Hall of Fame selects just three inductees, with honorees representing distinct categories that recognize different corners of country music’s legacy, according to its website.

The announcement also extended to social media, where the Country Music Hall of Fame shared the news with fans.

On Friday, the organization posted a photo of the honorees on its official Instagram page alongside the caption: “Just announced: @theTimMcGraw, @PaulOverstreetMusic, and the Stanley Brothers are joining the Country Music Hall of Fame. Congratulations to the new members-elect. Click link in bio to learn more about the Country Music Hall of Fame induction process.”
The Hall of Fame rotates its third category annually among songwriter, non-performer and recording or touring musician, ensuring that a wide range of contributors to country music are recognized over time.

The three inductees will be formally honored later this year during the Hall of Fame’s annual Medallion Ceremony, where they will join the ranks of country music’s most celebrated figures.
McGraw, meanwhile, is gearing up to hit the road, linking up with special guests The Chicks, Lady A, 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne for a 33-date “Pawn Shop Guitar Tour” across North America.
