Arash Azizi, Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer at Yale University, thinks the only realistic way the U.S. and Iran can compromise is through negotiating. However, he notes that much of the Iranian regime remains intact despite the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and that it is still unclear who will consolidate power in Iran.
