The Nets’ retooling continued on Friday.
The team is signing former Wichita State and Arkansas star wing Ricky Council IV to a one-year deal, ESPN reported.
The undrafted Council had a solid year for the 76ers, averaging 7.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 72 games. He was waived in late July.

The 6-foot-6 Council is part of a new-look young perimeter, which includes 2025 draftees Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, Ben Saraf and Drake Powell.
Council is a super-athletic guard who needs to improve his 3-point shot.
He made only 25.8 percent from deep last season, although he did shoot 37.5 percent as a rookie in 2023-24.
