The South Bay Lakers have had a whale of a season in the G League, and they’re looking to go all the way for the first time in franchise history. They claimed the first seed in the Western Conference with a 26-10 record after defeating the Sioux Falls Skyforce 140-134 on Saturday behind 26 points and six 3-pointers from Bronny James.

Their playoff matchup for the first round of the postseason is set. The G League playoffs will begin this Tuesday, March 31, and on that evening, South Bay will host the San Diego Clippers in the first round. The game will take place at 7:00 p.m. Pacific time at UCLA Health Training Center, and it can be seen on ESPNU.

The first three rounds of the G League playoffs consist of single-game elimination rounds. The two surviving teams from the first three rounds will then face each other in the G League finals, which is a best-of-three championship series.

The Clippers are the eighth seed in the Western Conference after finishing 18-17. The Lakers defeated them once during the regular season while going 1-2 versus them during the tip-off tournament.
