PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Mercury continue to refresh their look for the upcoming season following last year’s WNBA Finals run.
In the first-ever jersey patch sponsorship between a WNBA team and a baked goods company, the Mercury’s 2026 uniforms will have a patch sponsored by Hero Bread.
The company says it aims to make “better-for-you baked goods with the taste and texture craved by all who are comforted by delicious carbs, but want to invest in their health and upgrade their everyday options.” Hero Bread produces items like sliced bread, bagels, burger and hot dog buns, Hawaiian rolls, tortillas, croissants, biscuits and a pasta line.
The jersey patch will adorn the Mighty Mercury’s new look for this season. The team introduced its new Heroine and Explorer edition uniforms that will debut for 2026. The new fits feature the modernized brand to usher in a new generation while still honoring the team’s past.

Fans can get a first look at the new uniforms, complete with the new sponsor patch, when the Mercury travel to South Dakota to take on the Chicago Sky on April 25 for a preseason game. The team will be back home at Mortgage Matchup Center to host the Japanese Women’s National Team on April 29. Both games will air on 3TV.
Hero Bread is the third brand to join the Mercury in the team’s rotating badge initiative.
Flipper’s, an active lifestyle company inspired by roller skating, was the jersey patch sponsor in 2025. Partake Foods, which offers allergy-friendly snacks, partnered with the Mercury in 2024.
The Phoenix Mercury will host their first home game of 2026 on May 12 against the Minnesota Lynx. Tickets are available now!
