The NHL’s growth in recent years has been impressive to see, with Gary Bettman and the league are on the verge of a big new deal with Bristol Motor Speedway.

Over the past few years, the NHL have put on some very special events including Heritage Classic’s, Stadium Series and of course, the NHL Global Series, all of which will continue in 2025/26 with some big time events coming up as the business of the league continues to boom under Gary Bettman.

While the event was eventually rained out, it brought immense hype to the league and sold out in what was set to be a monumental occasion, and according to reports, the NHL could be next.

In a report from Sportico, it was revealed that executives from the National Hockey League were in attendance, and although the game was rained out, it’s safe to say that the unique venue along with the hype from fans should be enough to motivate the league to put on a show of their own there at some point in the near future.

Given the rainout and the interrupted game, it’s unclear exactly how well things went with NHL executives and the people at Bristol Motor Speedway, but given how unique the venue would be for an NHL game to build on the hype and the business they’ve done in recent years, there’s no doubting that fans would absolutely love to see the NHL on this stage soon.
