BRISTOL, Tenn. (WCYB) — The Steele Creek Park Nature Center is highlighting some plants and animals you need to watch out for this spring.

The center’s invasive species exhibit guides parkgoers through some of our region’s most problematic non-native species.

“Just because it’s here doesn’t mean it’s native to here. Many plants and animals came here from Europe, from Asia and some of those species are perfectly fine they’re inert they don’t cause a problem, but some of those on the other hand, they are aggressively propagating or they caused direct harm to some of our native wildlife or both,” Jeremy Stout, the nature center manager, said.

The exhibit will be on display through September.
