FILLMORE, Calif. (KABC) — A large bear was spotted wandering through a residential neighborhood in Fillmore Wednesday, prompting a warning for residents to stay away from the area.
The bear was first seen in the area, which sits below the Los Padres National Forest, Tuesday night, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said they were waiting for officials with the California Department and Fish and Wildlife to show up.
AIR7 over the scene as the large animal strolled in a seemingly peaceful manner between homes near 4th and A streets.
