CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Department said they are investigating a body found in an estuary.
Officers, along with Charleston Police investigators, responded to Demetre Park regarding a 911 call of a reported body found in Charleston Harbor.
The Charleston Fire Department assisted both officers and investigators in recovering the body.
The cause of the death remains unknown as officers continue to investigate the incident, investigator Michael Gillooly said.
The Charleston County Coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the victim.
