Collier County deputies have taken a man into custody after a standoff was safely resolved at the Lago Apartments at the intersection of Radio Road and Livingston Road, after they said they received a report of the man making threats. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Peter Hooker, 60, is facing charges of written threats to kill, do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.At 9:25 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to the apartment complex to investigate the reports that Hooker was accused of making written threats of violence. Hooker reportedly lives there.Deputies said they found Hooker at his apartment, and they said he refused to come outside to speak with them and barricaded himself inside the apartment. They also said they were concerned that he may have been armed.The mug shot of Hooker is from an arrest in January. According to court records, he reportedly violated a restraining order. The address listed on the January arrest report is inside the apartment complex.CCSO said they evacuated the surrounding areas of the Lago Apartments.North and southbound lanes of Livingston Road from Enterprise Avenue to Radio Road were shut down for hours due to the investigation.
