The level of incompetence of the Pitkin County commissioners in enforcing their own rules continues to grow. Take the lighting codes around holiday lights and light pollution, for example. Swing by 54 Twin Ridge Drive on any given night and see the front icicle lights ablaze in concert with the flashing disco lights in the back.
Clearly, neither the residents of this home nor the county feel the need to follow or enforce the guidelines set up to “minimize the county’s contribution to the (light pollution) haze.”
