Iconic heavy metal band Metallica added two November performances at Mohegan Sun Arena to their nearly-sold-out world tour.
The Grammy-award-winning band will play in Uncasville on Thursday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Nov. 21.
“Metallica’s first‑ever performance at Mohegan Sun Arena is a truly special moment as we celebrate the venue’s 25th anniversary,” said Jeff Hamilton, president and GM of Mohegan Sun. “The 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena has been home to so many unforgettable moments, hosting more than 3,000 events and welcoming over 15 million guests in its history. We couldn’t be more excited to honor that legacy by welcoming one of the most iconic Rock bands ever and celebrating this milestone with fans.”
The band is calling it a No Repeat Weekend, meaning they will play a completely different set list for the second night.
The performances will be the first for Metallica in Connecticut since 1998.
Fans can purchase Single-Day or 2-Day tickets, which will become available on Friday, April 10, at 10 a.m.
