It was a monumental day for the crew of the Artemis II and fanatics of all things space and NASA. The crew — made up of NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen — is spending about 10 days in space as they slingshot around the moon.

Artemis II was preparing for it’s flyby of the dark side of the moon and they were perfectly positioned to see the earth outside one window and the moon outside the other. During a broadcasted transmission, Wiseman was (understandably) in awe of the view which caused NASA to break out the best possible reference.

“Amaze, amaze, amaze,” a voice from NASA said as it came over the video feed, referencing the iconic line from the lovable alien Rocky from Project Hail Mary. Andy Weir’s popular science fiction novel was turned into a massive blockbuster with the Ryan Gosling-led film already bringing in over $420 million at the box office.

Viewers of the livestream loved the Rocky shoutout, and they went wild in the comments.

We are all really just leaky space blobs when it comes down to it.
