Since 1970, Earth Day has been a chance to honor the environment by being a better steward of the planet we all share. And because Earth Day falls on a Wednesday this year, local organizations and communities are spreading out their celebrations to weekends on either side of April 22. Here’s where to cultivate a green thumb, beautify our local parks and riverbanks, and most important, get outside and enjoy Mother Nature.
