Mike Broxton Jr. is one of those generational athletes.

The unique high school athlete stands at 6-foot-10 and towers over his opponents on both the football field and basketball floor.

Every once in a while, the 17-year-old goes viral as a result of his height, but also the fact that he has impressive highlights as a wide receiver in football and center in basketball.

And with college looming, Broxton has seen interest from Division I programs pick up.

He’s already got an offer secured from Sacramento State, a football program with a stunning $35 million NIL budget.

It’s a budget that will certainly help, considering the historic 2026 football class that is on offer for colleges.

Broxton is the tallest player in the recruiting class for next year.

The teenager’s growing social media influence and unique build will certainly prove even more attractive to colleges.

After the NCAA changed rules to allow players to earn from their NIL (Name, Image and Likeness), mouth-watering deals have been handed out to these college stars.

Arch Manning, nephew of legendary NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, has an NIL valuation of $6.6 million, after penning a deal with Red Bull.

Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal admitted he is jealous of the NIL money offered to players. When the Lakers legend was playing in college, he was not allowed to sign such deals.

What sport will Mike Broxton Jr. play at college?

Broxton has made it clear he has not committed to any college and wants to play both football and basketball.

“My recruitment is still 1000% open!,” he wrote on X.

“Just want a school, program and coach that is ready to believe in me and take their program to the next level and also want to pave a way for tall athletes and dual-sport athletes!!!!!”

When it comes to basketball, Broxton averaged 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds last season.

While those numbers are not that impressive, he has proven to be extremely dominant at times, both on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

And when it comes to football, his coach Herbans Paul, at Gibbs High School in Florida, hailed him as a “natural.”

“What’s impressive is he’s already a football player in my opinion,” Paul said.

“He’s out there and not dropping any passes. He’s a natural. I’m lost for words when I watch him. I thought we’d have to do a lot of work with him, but that’s not the case at all.

“(His teammates) are surprised. (Colleges) are super interested. Schools like Jacksonville State, Wake Forest, UCF, USF and everyone in Florida has shown interest.

“I think he’s a name everyone is already being looked at. I’ve never seen anyone like him. I think he’ll be one of the top recruits in the nation.”

Footage of him in practice shows him just being able to effortlessly catch balls with the defensive backs being no match.

Travis Hunter has become a household name as a budding two-way star in the NFL.

Broxton appears destined to take that up a notch by being a star in two sports.
