Festival fashion is all about the boho jackets, Western influences (hello, cowboy hats and boots), slouchy little knits, and sparkly bras and dresses. Jennifer Lopez’s style, meanwhile, is mostly defined by big hoops, body-hugging dresses, sky-high platforms, sparkly accessories, and so many Hermès bags. But in Coachella Valley, even opposites can find common ground.

For her debut at the music festival—where she performed during David Guetta’s set—the superstar tried her hand at boho festival dressing, while of course giving her looks a few quintessential J.Lo touches.

A daytime look consisted of a white maxi dress with a pink flower print and romantic lace hem, which Lopez paired with a shaggy white faux-fur jacket. To round it all out, she popped on some cowgirl accessories: a tan cowboy hat, caramel-brown platform boot’s with the tallest of block heels, and a chocolate leather clutch with plenty of fringe. Very desert fairy-core.

But Lopez made a quick change when it was time for her to take the stage. The singer traded her sundress for a bedazzled, metallic bodysuit, and her brown boot heels for a white thigh-high pair. She kept on her shaggy jacket—which apparently came equipped with a hood—and popped on gold-frame aviator sunglasses for a very J.Lo twist.

“The most fun day!! Save Me Tonight with David live for the first time at MY FIRST COACHELLA was so special. My happy era is rewriting everything. Don’t ever stop surprising yourself 🤍,” Lopez captioned an Instagram post featuring photos and clips of her time at the Indio, California, music festival.
