With Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves out due to hamstring and oblique strains, respectively, LeBron James immediately had to go from his cushy role as the Los Angeles Lakers‘ third scorer to their main superstar again. It was a transition he handled quickly and ably.
In four games after those injuries occurred (he missed one game with a foot ailment), James averaged 25.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 11 assists a game while shooting 55.7% from the field and 37.5% from 3-point range. The Lakers won each of their last three games of the regular season, allowing them to finish with a 53-29 record and the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

James has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week as a result of his excellent play.
This is the 70th time James has won a Player of the Week award, and the first time he has received one this season. He last won it in early February of last year.
The 41-year-old ended the regular season with averages of 20.9 points on 51.5% field-goal shooting, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists a game.
