Charlie Cummings gives his top DraftKings WNBA Pick6 plays and projections for the five-game WNBA slate on Tuesday, August 5th.

WNBA action on Tuesday will kick off at 7:00 p.m. EST. We have a five-game slate, starting with the Liberty taking on the Sun. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball.

This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.

Sabrina Ionescu More Than 34.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Ride the hot hand. In my last edition, I picked Ionescu to get more than 33.5 P/R/A as a WNBA Pick6 lineup anchor. She came through with 36 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists to crush her total. It’s nothing new for her, simply an extension of a hot streak. Over her last six games, the All-Star is averaging 27.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

It hasn’t translated to success for New York as they it’s 2-4 in those six games. Reacclimating Jonquel Jones to the lineup just before Breanna Stewart went down with a bone bruise has been a tough break. Ionescu is attempting to put the offense on her back, and while it looks great in the box score, it hasn’t been enough for the Liberty. But for our purposes, box score production is the target, not wins and losses. Ionescu should continue her dominance on Tuesday night against a rough Wings defense that just traded away their best perimeter defender.

Paige Bueckers More Than 15.5 Points

Gotta love those discounted prices, right? Bueckers’ season average in points per game is exactly 18.5. On top of that, she’s building a respectable hot streak. The presumptive ROY has scored 20+ points in three straight games, all coming against top-five defenses. One of those teams happened to be the same New York Liberty she faces on Tuesday night.

Getting repeat 20+ point performances as a guard against the Liberty’s defense is a tall task. But, with the price discount, she can come in a bit under and still be good to go. Don’t let Bueckers slip out of your Pick6 lineup.

Sonia Citron More Than 1.5 Threes Made

It’s a good time to be a guard playing against the Sky. Not only are they a bad defense, but their best perimeter defender has been absent for seven straight games. And though Ariel Atkins is officially listed as questionable, it’s hard to imagine much impact, even if she does play. That opens the door for Sonia Citron.

The rookie All-Star has played the Sky twice with Atkins, and once without. She made three combined threes in the two games where Atkins played, while going off for five threes and 28 total points. If Atkins sits, this is a smash hit for your WNBA Pick6 lineups. Even if she does play, a seven-game absence requires knocking off some rust. The rookie sharpshooter can take advantage.

Shakira Austin More Than 7.5 Rebounds

This one is pretty simple. In 17 games as a starter, the 6’5″ Austin is averaging 7.6 rebounds per game. She’s had 8+ rebounds in 10 of those 17 games. And now she has a date with the Sky, who can’t hit a shot. And Angel Reese, the best rebounder in the WNBA, has been ruled out for this one. Everything points to Austin going wild on the boards in this game.
