On April 25, Tops Friendly Markets is bringing back its 30th Annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Customers will be able to drop off their unused or expired prescription medications. Tops said that each supermarket will have clearly marked disposal bins to properly discard medications they no longer need.
“As we reach this milestone year, we’re reminded how important it is to provide safe, accessible options for medication disposal—not just on Take Back Day, but every day,” said Director of Pharmacy for Northeast Shared Services Matthew Hamed. “Proper disposal helps prevent misuse and protects our environment.”
Customers can drop off medications anonymously at any Tops Pharmacy during regular store hours.
