“Incredibly frustrating. If I look at the game first, rather than the period of time I’ve been here and maybe the season overall, the game was quite symptomatic in some ways.
“First half, we make a really poor mistake to give them a lift, give them a gift. We’ve done that too many times.
“Second half, we won the penalty and that gives us a lift. From then on, I thought we were absolutely excellent.
“If we’d have played with that urgency for the past five or six games, we would’ve got more points.
“But we certainly looked like a team at least that was going to give it some fight towards the end.
“The bigger picture is you don’t get relegated over three or four games, you get relegated over a season.”
