The Pittsburgh Steelers made another trade to move up in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, per Tom Pelissero on X. This time, they are moving up three spots from No. 99 to No. 96, and giving up the No. 216 pick in a deal with the Seattle Seahawks.

That’s a third-round pick swap and a sixth-round pick headed to Seattle for the opportunity to select the final piece of their rebuilt offensive line.
Here’s how the trade’s value breaks down.
Steelers Trade: No. 99 (104 value) + No. 216 (5 value)
Seahawks Trade: No. 96 (116 value)
As they did last time, the Steelers came out slightly ahead in theoretical draft value in this deal.
In three years as the Steelers’ GM, Omar Khan made just one move up during the draft. This year, he’s already made two with a separate trade in the second round. Both deals presented great value to the Steelers, who clearly didn’t want to part with their hard-earned top-100 picks in any trades.
Entering the draft with 12 picks, the Steelers are now down to 10. They also now have a 63-pick gap from No. 161 in the fifth round to No. 224 in the seventh round. There is a very good chance they flip one or two of those seventh-round picks to move up in that gap, which would bring the size of the class down to standard.
