Nothing to see here really other than two teams hoping a top-10 finish will bring promise of even better things to come next season.
Both have won two of their past six games with any hint of a play-off challenge long since gone.
“The Championship is a hard league, [but] this season obviously we wanted to get promoted, that’s not going to happen now, but it’s a stepping stone in the right direction,” said Blues joint-top scorer Jay Stansfield this week.
He might be right given they only came back into the division at the start of the season.
Bristol City will have the summer to sort out their managerial situation with former England boss Roy Hodgson keeping the seat warm for the final two games and maybe he’ll bring out some shorts and a hawaiian shirt to go with the sunglasses he sported at a game recently.
