Brooke Hogan has opened up about the passing of her father, Hulk Hogan. Speaking on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, she explained in detail her shocking decision to have herself removed from her father’s will prior to his death.

Brooke, who had been estranged from her father for the past two years, stated that her decision was made to protect her own family. She cited fears of a potential legal and financial battle over his massive estate.

A Decision To Protect Her Family

Brooke Hogan explained that her primary concern was avoiding a fight with two powerful entities: the Church of Scientology and her own mother, Linda Hogan. She said she has no personal issues with her father’s third wife, Sky Daily, but Daily’s alleged past connection to Scientology made her fearful of a potential conflict.

“I don’t want to fight Linda. I don’t want to fight Scientology,” Brooke said. “I don’t want somebody that I love to get knocked off. I don’t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me. And I just said, ‘I want out.’”

She clarified that her decision was never about the money itself. “I was sobbing when I wrote the text… I just said, ‘Take me off everything, I just — I don’t want to be a part of it,’” she recalled.

A Family Lived In The Spotlight

The Hogan family’s life has been a public saga for decades, most notably during their hit VH1 reality show, Hogan Knows Best. The show portrayed a loving, if sometimes chaotic, family dynamic, but it was followed by a very public and acrimonious divorce between Hulk and Linda Hogan. Brooke’s comments are the latest chapter in a long and complex family story that has played out in the public eye.

In the interview, she also revealed a heartbreaking detail that illustrated the depth of her recent estrangement from her father. She confirmed that Hulk Hogan refused to walk her down the aisle at her 2022 wedding to former NHL player Steven Oleksy.

Protecting A Legacy

While Brooke Hogan will not benefit from the will, she said her primary concern is the preservation of her father’s legacy. She hopes that whoever now controls his intellectual property and trademarks will do the right thing.

“I would have made him an Elvis legacy, or a Marilyn Monroe legacy, or a Selena legacy,” she said. “And I hope that whoever has his marks does that. I just know that the people around him are pretty shady and not in his best interest.”
