TULSA, Okla. –
Ascension St. John will host a free community healthcare event in northwest Tulsa aimed at helping residents who face barriers to medical care.
The Medical Mission at Home is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Common Good: The Hub. The event will offer a range of no-cost services, including medical, dental and pharmacy care.
Free care available without appointments
Organizers say no insurance, payment or appointment is required. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Care available at the event includes health screenings, dental services and select prescriptions at no cost. Attendees can also receive foot care and hygiene services, including foot washing.
Additional support for families and individuals
Beyond medical care, the event will connect visitors with community resources and social services.
Basic hygiene and household items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash and diapers will be available. Fresh produce will also be distributed to those in need.
Language interpreters will be on site to assist attendees.
Hundreds of volunteers expected to help
More than 400 healthcare professionals, volunteers and community partners are expected to participate.
Organizers say care teams will also help connect patients with follow-up appointments to support ongoing healthcare needs after the event.
Leaders to speak ahead of event
Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols and Ascension St. John CEO Bo Beaudry are scheduled to speak at 8:30 a.m. before services begin.
The event will take place at 19 S 49th West Ave in Tulsa.
Part of broader community mission
Ascension St. John operates seven hospitals and more than 90 clinics across northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas.
In fiscal year 2025, the organization reported providing more than $130 million in community benefit and unpaid Medicare costs, including care for people living in poverty.
Officials say the Medical Mission at Home reflects the organization’s ongoing effort to expand access to care for underserved communities.
