WATKINS GLEN — Mission Foods doubles down on their partnership with Watkins Glen International ahead of the upcoming NASCAR race weekend, coming on board as entitlement partner for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race, now known as the Mission 176 at The Glen.

The Mexican food company is also the entitlement partner for the Mission 200 at The Glen NASCAR Xfinity Series race. The company also holds naming rights to the Mission Foods Party Deck, a hospitality area where fans can look out over the historic Esses of the New York Track.

As part of the race weekend celebrations, two-time Truck Series Champion Todd Bodine will serve as Grand Marshal ahead of the Mission 176 on Friday, Aug. 8.

“Mission Foods has been an incredible partner to us at The Glen, so expanding that partnership into the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race felt like the perfect move,” said Dawn Burlew, President of Watkins Glen International. “Both Mission Foods and Watkins Glen are all about bringing people together, whether it’s through food or racing, and we’re honored to have them as part of our race weekends.”

Mission Foods has extensive involvement across the motorsport industry, yet their partnership for the NASCAR race weekend at Watkins Glen International was their first in the sport. The multi-year agreement between Watkins Glen International and Mission Foods, which began last year, kickstarted the tortilla company’s engagement in NASCAR.

Mission Foods began as a small tortilla factory in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and is now the No. 1 tortilla manufacturer in the U.S., cooking up specialty tortillas, chips, baked products, snacks and more. Over the years, Mission has expanded across multiple countries and continents, becoming the global brand it is today.

“We’re proud to serve as title sponsor for both the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Watkins Glen International,” said Juan Gonzalez, Mission Foods Chief Executive Officer. “This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering memorable experiences, creating meaningful connections with fans, and celebrating the high-energy spirit of NASCAR weekend at The Glen.”

The NASCAR race weekend at Watkins Glen International kicks off on Friday, Aug. 8 with the ARCA Menards General Tire 100 at The Glen followed by the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Mission 176 at The Glen. Then, Saturday, fans can catch the NASCAR Xfinity Series Mission 200 at The Glen.

In all comes to a head on Sunday, drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series will battle it out on the 2.45-mile road course in the Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
