Either the New York Jets‘ defense is really good, or Aaron Glenn and Co. potentially have a big problem on their hands.

After moving on from Aaron Rodgers this offseason and deciding to go in a younger direction by signing Justin Fields, the former No. 11 pick is reportedly having a really tough time getting his rhythm going during the team’s training camp.

According to SNY’s Connor Hughes who was on-hand at this morning’s practice, the Jets’ passing game is “is not good at [the] moment.” Adding, “Justin Fields finished 9 of 17 with 2 interceptions. I did not have a completion beyond five air yards. He took three sacks. Stats do not include 1 of 4 passing with an INT in 7o7 period.”

“Fields has had a rough go of it lately. He is 15 of 43 passing (34%) with the two INTs in full-team work his last three practices.”

This definitely wasn’t the news folks in the tri-state wanted to hear to start the week.

“And what was the reason why Tyrod wasn’t given a fair shot in training camp again?” a user asked.

“I’m staying silent,” another commented.

“Steelers-Jets is going to have a final score of 6-3,” a fan predicted.

“Still baffles me the jets made this move,” another person said.

“Steelers dodged one,” another user posted.

“Not a training camp merchant but a completion percentage shouldnt look like a batting average.”

“We will always have Ohio State,” a Fields fan coped.

If practice was always perfect there wouldn’t be any reason to do it. But it’s never great to hear about a QB struggling in any context — especially when they play for a franchise that’s pretty much been starving for one since the Ford administration.

There’s still time to get things corrected — and Fields has been dealing with a toe injury — but Jets fan are only going to have so much patience before they get tired of watching the same old movie for the last 14 years.
