North Texas is home to some world-class athletes, and that includes elite golfers.
On Monday, Carrollton resident Jeeno Thitikul reached No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings for the second time in her career.
Thitikul overtook LPGA sensation Nelly Korda, who had held the top spot since March 25, 2024. The rise in the rankings comes after a solid showing in the AIG Women’s Open.
Thitikul is a 22-year-old LPGA rising star and native of Thailand. She finished in a tie for fourth at the PGA Women’s Championship this year at Field Ranch East in Frisco and has five wins in her LPGA career thus far.
