Georgia Amoore’s first WNBA season lasted less than three practices.

She’d been drafted last April by the Washington Mystics with the No. 6 overall pick, after a standout five-year college career. Then, on the third day of training camp, she tore the ACL in her right knee. Her promising rookie season, during which she was set to play alongside fellow first-round picks Sonia Citron and Kiki Irafen, was over.
