Chris “Chili” Rodriguez announced the grand opening of the Mind and Soul Gallery & Studios on Saturday, May 16 in the Gardner Building on Madison Ave.
TOLEDO, Ohio — A well-known muralist in Toledo is opening a gallery in downtown Toledo.
Chris “Chilly” Rodriguez says people are invited to a grand opening for the Mind and Soul Gallery & Studios in the historic Gardner Building on Saturday, May 16.
The Gardner Building is located on the corner of Madison Avenue and Superior Street.

Rodriguez says he and his team have been working for 6 months to renovate and rebuild the 6000 square foot space.
Artwork from over 40 local and nationally known artists, working in a variety of mediums, will be on display at the event.
There will also be live music, food trucks, raffles and a scavenger hunt.
The grand opening takes place between 5 and 10 p.m. with an after-party from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Rodriguez is known for his many vibrant murals around the city, many of which feature colorful birds, geometric patterns, and flowers.
The Gardner Building was slated to be torn down in the 1980s before a group of investors and preservationists purchased the building. It was built in 1893 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
